The modern idea of "race" was propagated when Europe first started colonizing Africa centuries ago, and it was based on identifying people by their physical attributes (later serving as the basis for bullshit like phrenology in the more recent centuries).
And assigning someone's physical attributes to a category — a practice that treated human beings similar to something like Darwin taking biological survey's of animals — allowed the surveyors to create hierarchies of power that saw others as lesser-than (and was often backed by Old World religious dogma). Physical attributes started being used to simultaneously define a person and dismiss/devalue them.
And the way you're trying to define people by "how the look" with those mocking questions in your post, then dismissing them for not conforming to it, has similar implications,
i think u misunderstood what i was saying. i legit don't know where ur going with ^ that but here's what i meant:
for any conscious considerations u can make to address someone properly by asking them "what would you like to be addressed as"...it's opening the situation up for them to take offense that you think they look like anything other than male/female/etc.
it's never ending. it's always gonna be room for someone to be pissed off.

It’s true that scientific racism started as a way to justify colonization but black people were always seen as less human than others since antiquity, black slaves were always treated worse than white/brown slaves, so this concept isn’t that new
