I liked it yeah. But back to the topic, a great director can’t make a bad script good. It’s impossible. It takes both a great script and great execution from the director. Aaron Sorkin wrote a great script.

Yeah but we know politics is a wayyyy touchier subject than a social media site getting invented. That’s why I think time helps these kinds of movies separate from current biases.

I have a different point of view on those kind of movies. A lot of movies are the voice of the director and they’re expressing their opinion

I don’t feel like I’m being told who to side with I’m just hearing out one person’s side

I do understand why some dislike it but I’ve never been a political person so I don’t mind. It’s not gonna sway me one way or the other. I didn’t even know it was only republicans who rushed the White House or why they did it. I just laughed at the memes

Showing POV can be done and I trust Sorkin, but it is a tight rope he’s walking. As long as there’s some nuance to it and it’s not just “Hey look at these bad magas storming the capital!!! Ewww!!!”

True, we’ll see how this turns out. A lot of factors beyond the script that can make or break it. Movie might not even happen for all we know if Sorkin changes his mind
