If I’m not mistaken they should all have an English sub at the very least

just think in terms of genre, fighting games, arcade-y action games, s*** like that would be great for it. RPGS you'll have a hard time. If you're going for gamecube classics then go Mario Sunshine, melee, mmmayyyybbeee Luigi's Mansion (i don't remember how much reading there is in that game), kirby air ride, mario kart double dash s*** like that

yeah that’s my plan for now get some of the classics that i know already so playing won’t be too hard in japanese and get just cheaper games in english while i look for the classics in english for better prices

yeah the only unfortunate thing is i feel like most of the best action games actually made it to the states. Every underrated gamecube game i can think of is a jrpg (maybe i'm just a weeb tho)

You might be able to play Japanese to English translated roms on it. Then you can access anything in whatever language for basically free. But if you’re looking into collecting paper Mario and Pokémon xd game of darkness are fire

they couldnt even figure out simultaneous international releases in 2001 and my boy really think they're gonna add a bunch of translation to an edition of a game that wont come out in the states for like a year

Don’t remember too well since I haven’t played my gc for well over a decade but I could’ve sworn I used to play with the settings in melee and remember seeing different languages on there

yeah u could change languages but they’re no subtitles for text/dialogue etc and that was only present in the international editions

    which games are you referencing?

mostly the tales of series, custom robo, for some reason i thought steambot chronicles had a gc port, but i guess it’s ps2 only. underrated/not talked about is in the eye of the beholder
