So, two sides of a coin as i listen to Jay elect a bit older than i was when i first discovered his music. Do I buy into Jay elect’s conspiracy raps? Or Elijah Muhammad’s divinity? No. And also his online persona can be bizarre.

There are a few things however that he’s a master of.
    1. He has this great way of pulling references whether a vocal sample or historical references and figures extremely uniquely. I’ve critiqued his recent features a lot because they are very mailed in but on here you get the full Jay elect ecosystem, which always works to his benefit imo.
    2. He’s incredible and one of the best on speaking on human emotion and struggle especially when introspective. Track 4 second verse is a great example of this. “Another fallen star that crashed, another crater.” “The color that she says she hates the most of all: invisible.”
    3. I like to believe in God, albeit very differently from Jay Elect. I do think he’s genuinely curious about spirituality and I like that he puts it in his music almost as if he’s on a quest.

So I hope there’s more full length stuff to come. This was very encouraging to hear him because it’s easy when you have some mailed in features and are being silly online to forget how talented he can be.

#2 You just highlighted why I have such a love/hate relationship with current Jay.

APIDTA was my fav track on AWT cause it was like the only one I aint feel like I was getting preached at on a street corner by niggas dressed like Mortal Kombat rejects tbh.

A project with these type of songs would be great. Its also what makes Act 2 so so good

Terrible take. The main reason I listen to Jay Elec is the skits and sounds of applause, straight up his use of atmosphere and myth is unbelievable. My favorite moment of this is the 4 minute ufo speech, took me back to 2007. Made me emotional

    100% agree
This typa s*** would NEVER work with any other rapper but the way he does it is just magic

Diddy apologia was inevitable man. That man saved Jay’s life of course he gonna do that. That’s why he’s on a whole intro for Abracadabra

And (DISCLAIMER POSTER DONT F*** WITH DIDDY HE KILT PAC AND KILT BIGGIE AND IS A SERIAL PREDATOR THIS IS NO DEFENSE)

unfortunately, the feds were 110% wrong in putting a RICO charge on Diddy. That’s why Diddy is gonna come home soon cause the defense did such a horrible job.
