the issue with the internet and increased connectivity combined with free time of many celebrities & artists is that is completely shatters mystique which is often a cornerstone of an artist's identity

back when jay e was a near complete enigma there was a certain unspoken allure to his music and the few appearances he did have publicly, in whatever form. but besides his music he was defined less by his own words or actions and more by what was reported about him. now this dude is on discord paying for nitro
