I've been wondering lately how real Black Hippy was and how much was just set up by the label. Like I know Jay Rock helped put Kendrick on, and Kendrick still works with him a lot so it seems like they're definitely real friends.
But I haven't heard Kendrick work with or even mention the other two in years. I don't think any of them have beef or anything, but it seems like they were just coworkers and were never actually that tight.

They all still homies, they all stepped out for Soul’s album release.
Kendrick been said he runs his music through Soul cause he trust his pen/talents, Soul just been going through a lot recently with the suicide attempt and debilitating vision/health
Q on the other hand was greatly affected by Mac’s death and I think just been locked into fatherhood and using his name to leverage other ventures, like the golf s***.
Just cause these artists don’t mention each other doesn’t mean they ain’t friends anymore, they could all just be at different points in their life. Soul/Q gave Kendrick mad love during the Super Bowl performance

Dot was on soul album and even gave him some beats for it. I think they do that for each other, still.

I think those dudes are real friends. You gotta remember that they’ve been around each other before Kendrick blew up. They struggled together and they all always helped each other out with their music. No way they don’t talk still or even hang out
