Album saved his legacy
Thanks to No I.D.
Gave him the best prod he's ever produced + mentored him throughout and made him write deeper lyrics
I wish Everything is Love never happened, this would be a perfect last album for Hov

See I’m not of the opinion that bad albums take away from what your good albums were

Perfect album he could've made at this stage.

Yeah it doesn’t make 4:44 any worse but it would’ve been a great capper to his career
Ik this thread won’t do numbers but he really packed so much in there
nah I feel you, for sure one of his best verses last decade
4:44 album of the century
Honestly been revisiting it a lot this year - I think it’s jays second best after blueprint
That's why it's a black market, that's why it's called the trap
That's why it's called the projects 'cause it's exactly that
Ik this thread won’t do numbers but he really packed so much in there
this was supposed to be a haiku
But my story's too wide to fit inside the line or two
damn that's too real
one of my favourite hov verses
and favourite hov songs in general
it's amazing how he can come out with such impeccable writing at such a late age
I feel like until this verse there was always still an argument to be made that Jay lasted the longest in the game but Big burned brighter at his moment as the perfect MC, along with maybe Nas and Pac. As amazing as Jay has been in the past he reached a new level with this one, a true god level, this is the perfect rapper, the best there’s ever been. Not even jay overall, but Jay in this one beautiful perfect moment.
Jay really got consistent with age, even his bars on written testimony make me want a full album from him
