So I'm currently on youtube re-listening to the first and only Beyonce album I ever owned, Dangerously In Love and reminiscing on the songs I loved but I'm becoming increasingly disturbed by the lyrics. I truly don't understand the hold this man has over her. He's the ugliest man I've seen yet, he's not fit, he's not particularly sociable or a people's person, he has a dark past with d****, he's cheated on her multiple times, cussed her out, etc. I don't get it. Sure, money and a big p**** pulls him up a notch or two. But not to the point of going crazy over him, having sleepless nights, obsessing over his side chicks, allowing him to talk to her crazy, writing multiple albums about him and staying in a broken marriage for years on end. Call me shallow but these are the kinds of things I've only seen desperate women reserve for drop dead gorgeous men. He's trash and she just accepts it.
