Despite the fact that I severely disagree with Kanye politically at least he showed to white america that black people are not a monolith and that they are all beautifully “different” than how the media likes to portray. He also showed that black people do not have to fit into the pandering confines of liberalism, the way that so many so called progressives want them to be. Even if his chosen alternative to establishment liberalism is entirely incorrect (and equally pandering for that matter) he does force liberals to grapple with the fact that black people do not and will not fit into their neat box that appeals to their sensibilities, and are not a simple political toy for them to throw around at their convenience despite them ultimately not giving a s*** what happens to black people on an existential level
