uploaded this really old mashup of roc boys with a phoenix instrumental by the hood internet. beat always give me chills, ye adlibs extra clear, and the sax at the end all nice
yes, I didn't enjoy them as much as I would like to. especially after RD, which was spectacular.
RD is one of the greatest albums of all time, so naturally very few albums can compare
still doesn’t make these great albums mid when they’re stacked with classic songs
Niggas killing me saying this Hov album
Jay E had more verses on the album and even produced most of it, plus it's his artistic vision, but somehow it's a Hov album

Okay but Jay got like 95 verses and is the star in everyone of them

Officially? As in y’all just realizing this?
He meets all the checkmarks from lyricism balanced with hits along with the ability to give you quotable braggadocio, introspection and substance. Add in that no rapper has ever been as relevant as he is for as long as he has or raps at the level he does at his age (uncharted waters in the history of the genre). And his interviews are hotter

vol1 is overrated af, it has exactly three classic songs
Lucky Me
Where I'm From
A Million
you got two absolutely terrible and I mean dogshite tier songs (Girls Like and Sunshine) which is why I can't take anyone calling it a classic seriously, then you got like 3-4 more good songs and the rest is decent/mid
and vol2 and 3 aren't as good as vol1

imaginary player
friend or foe 98
and every other song is great minus those two which i wont argue against - thats a classic, as are vol2 and 3
even if you were 100% right, if a mid album got 3 classic songs on it that s*** aint mid no more
lmao
I’ve been saying for years Hov is the best of all time but the dust heads and people that don’t know hip-hop just automatically go to Pac or Biggie as the best because it’s the EASY answer
Nope. Jay-Z is a DISTANT 1st place. And I will stand by that.
