Here I am telling you once again that he has consistently been charitable to those from his community. Just bc he’s hosting these courses doesn’t mean his scholarship fund was sacrificed.

But I suppose you’re struggling to say he should’ve used the same capital/investing from this project into one you subjectively deem more valuable to the public. But that argument falls apart bc you’d have to apply that to every single thing he does with his money, cars properties business etc.

Point being you’re upset that this project aimed to help students doesn’t fit your subjective ideals that you believe students should focus on.

Still yet to see anyone give a decent explanation on how this will result in negative outcomes. Free classes, free phones and free food.

Someone who bought Bitcoin in January 2022 lost 33% of the amount he invested

Someone who bought Bitcoin in June 2021 lost around 4% of the amount he invested

Someone who bought Bitcoin in November 2021 lost roughly almost 50% of the amount he invested

Do you want me to keep going or this very very basic metrics are enough for you to understand where something like this could lead to ?

Setting black ppl up to be reliant on cryptocurrency where most won’t even see their returns vs tangible resources and educational tools so they can better prepare for their own future.

This is okay ig but there is much better ways to impact the community imo. You can’t just be in poverty and start getting into cryptocurrency without any sort of foundation on… anything.

Maybe summer camps, seminars, have some colleges come and show different avenues. If they wanna go the STEM route have corporations, partnerships with big Tech or other companies to set them up with tools and connections to make real progress.

If they aren’t interested in college that’s cool, offer them other branches. Show them what going into trades could offer. Maybe start internships/programs where the teens can participate over the summer.

I’m not sure but either way I don’t see how cryptocurrency is good for people in poverty to start with. Much more tangible things to offer

  • Jun 9, 2022

Good intentions ig but realistically just feels like it’s not addressing any actual problems. And again I don’t see how cryptocurrency in hoods is gonna be beneficial like that.

Think from a POC perspective. Not saying this can’t be attempted but it shouldn’t be a first step

  • Jun 9, 2022

Anybody starting anything revolving around bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to "help" others is full of s***, money is the only goal.

    This worse

You can’t be from the hood or poverty and say that with a straight face lmao

I don’t care how you feel about crypto whether you think it’s bullshit or not but how y’all hating ona nigga simply FUNDING something for the youth of his old hood? When there is so much worse he could be doing, s*** that y’all attempted to criticize him for in the past.

He could’ve did what these other celebrities are doing and buy up the block in order to push “affordable housing” high rises starting at $2000 a month.

Do I think this will change the hood? probably not but it’s something that could potentially inspire somebody from that neighborhood, and it’s free for the summer. f*** you want from Jay man?
