Should be dope, but I’m already dreading hearing people overhype a Jay Z verse again, like it’s the greatest verse of all time
I can see this being mid as f*** tbh.
Lowkey I’m with ya.
And D’angelo’s one of the main reasons a nigga does music and yea, I got an iffy feeling bout this one.
Have some faith in D
It’s moreso jay z than D that has us worried ngl.
jay is my GOAT but idk everything since 4:44 feels like some self aggrandizing advertisement. not like how all other rappers boast and talk about money like with jay it feels commercial at this point like he’s Rich Rapper™️ and he’s trying to sell us something idk how else to describe it

It’s called bro wanna be an offbeat capitalist while “moonlighting” as a radical wannabe Basquiat and niggas need to let that go.

i’m conflicted cus while some of his best verses ever were on 4:44 and AWT, i can’t help but think he turned into the rapper he used to s*** on Nas for being…. “you tryna kick knowledge?” and “the rap version of TD jakes prophesizing on your cd’s and tapes”
