y'all debating Iceman vs MBDTF itt?
I had to just keep scrolling past that dumb s*** 😭
That’s a ridiculous notion but also drake is the only rapper that is held to this weird “adulthood” standard. Yall say this but listen to a Kanye who offers less in the songwriting and introspection departments. Drake is one of the most introspective rappers, there’s a major disconnect happening when people suggest there’s no substance to his raps
Kanye on any of the 3 college albums has more substance on a single verse than Drakes entire career cmon now
And lmaooo at Drake being more believable than prime Ye ffs what kinda spell does OVO have y'all under man
meanwhile at OVO records…
While the visual of sperm crazy this is a cool stage design
I like Reasonable Doubt but I feel like it's an unfair comparison. The subject matter on each album is entirely different and even then, Drake gets unfair criticism imo regardless of whether he's venting (which people see as not being able to move on) or being braggadocious (to which people say they don't wanna see him 'act tough'). I thought the album was arguably his most mature and direct one yet
How is the subject matter “entirely different” from 2017 to now?
How has he grown? Seriously. I’ve heard all these albums many times. It’s always the same s***, just different targets.
Fake Love literally could have been on Iceman
but lemme guess short jokes >>>> am i right
You can’t truly believe short jokes are as bad as homophobia
Take your time i know it must be exhausting jumping from key to key to type a response
Oh yall been arguing 24 hours about this like a full argument when this ain’t become a full beef
Drake has yet to have a song cry man
nigga actually sampled that song just to do what he’s calling Make Them on this album lmfao
He doesn’t need a song cry he made Marvin’s room it’s different artists. The whole power of song cry was that it was unexpected level of vulnerability from Hov at that point, Drake can’t do that when he has Brand New on his first s***. Come on yall
Why is hov going for homeless aesthetic? Is he about to trick the certain population into trying to say drake not black again??

You're unworthy of your name

The combination of these questions is insane

F*** substance. Yall would’ve been saying Hov was money cash hoes. Yall skim through music and decide what you like based on what’s more “deep” or “positive” f*** that. TPAB has more substance than Graduation but it’s not better. F*** that

I meant Hov's and Drake's subject matter is different so it's an unfair comparison. Also it's clearly not the same as a More Life lol did you hear the album? Even aside from the talk about the beef and its fallout. And I still don't get why 'growth' is a prerequisite for a rapper. ICEMAN has imo some of his best rapping ever in terms of technicality, versatility, charisma, and focus
Iceman is leagues beyond MBDTF as a look into the mind of an MC. To me Kanye has never put out anything believable. Hov and Drake are very different but I think drakes vulnerability gets glossed over in these discussions. People focus on the vices and the women similar to how they said Hov was money cash hoes. But there’s a lot more than that in Drake’s raps.
Change your name
I think he’s tryna look like s*** on purpose to relate to the vocal minority
Let’s never say Cole wasn’t influential

Drake was the lightest shot in the entire freestyle and Drake fans most mad.
Unless I’m missing something

Yeah it was light. It’s crazy that Drake just went at Hov like that and barely got a jab back but Hov jumped out like it was something. Drake won

“ he dressed homeless to win back the poor and middle class black people “
We know he still a billionaire lol

1 is a freestyle at a concert that addresses multiple people
Another is a song on an album for sale aimed at Kendrick and Jay Z

I’m waiting on the punchline police to address this bar. Did yall jump up and say “cringe this is so bad” or did this one fly over yall head?
I’m convinced yall focus on the simplest most in your face lines because those are the only ones yall even catch
You're praising a rapper for having double entendres?
"Russia and Finland share a border, this is genius
"
Still waiting on the context that makes "Greater than everybody like some shredded cheese" a great bar?
"the jig up? nigga im up 10.
wrong chart champ you gotta look up again.
Niggas look up to HOV i never looked up to them.
Crackas got your publishing gangsta go talk tuff to them.
Don’t talk success to me, you niggas is workers.
In perpetuity is how your contract is worded."
damn he goated if he just did this off dome fr fr
