The inconsistencies that the "anonymous" person owned up to along with what was revealed are pretty f***ing glaring and not something you can easily attribute to trauma making things fuzzy for you.

That combined with Buzbee's nature make me surprised that the judge is leaning this way.

If Jay z is found guilty of this yall think Beyonce will still ride or die for him the same way Nicki did for her man?

This judge is not taking any of jays legal teams s***. Kinda refreshing

Per the judge: "Carter's lawyer's relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client."

    Refreshing? Inappropriate? More like bullshit

Not entirely sure how the American legal system works, but if it's the same as ours, a motion like the one Jay-Z launched to have the case dismissed doesn't get into the merits and delve into inconsistencies in the case. It's usually just to determine "Is there a prima facie case Jay-Z needs to answer? If no, case dismissed. If yes, this needs to proceed to trial". What the judge looks at to determine that without delving into the merits, Idk, but they not getting into the evidence yet. That's what the trial is for

So this isn't really a "loss" like some people would believe and it doesn't say anything about the strength or weakness of Jay's defence. This Judge just believes there's enough in this accusation for a trial to be held

  • Dec 28, 2024

Could be as simple as Jay-Z and his lawyers saying "This woman is trying to extort Mr Carter and Buzbee is a money hungry attorney trying to besmirch Mr Carter's name. This case should be dismissed". Judge says "There's no evidence to support these accusations, it's on you as Applicant of this motion to substantiate these allegations with evidence. You haven't done that, case is not dismissed, it's proceeding to trial"

And based on what the Judge said about ad-hominem attacks and inflammatory language in his papers, that's probably exactly what happened

Jay-Z's Lawyer Eyes Legal Loophole to Throw Out Rape Lawsuit

"Jay-Z's attorney says there are a bunch of holes in the rape lawsuit against the rapper ... and he's looking to have the case thrown out.

In new court documents obtained by TMZ ... Alex Spiro, the lawyer representing the rap mogul, says he's gearing up to file a motion to dismiss the lawsuit against Jay-Z ... claiming the statute "Jane Doe" is suing under didn't even take effect until after the alleged sexual assault ... and can't be applied against the rapper retroactively."

    tmz.com/2024/12/30/jay-z-lawyer-alex-spiro-legal-loophole-to-throw-out-rape-lawsuit

  • Dec 30, 2024

"As Jay-Z's attorney puts it ... the statute was enacted in December 2000 -- 3 months after Jane Doe claimed she was sexually assaulted by Jay-Z and Diddy at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party.

Even if the statute did apply, Jay-Z's lawyer says it only covers conduct committed within New York City ... and he insists the purported location of the alleged assault could not have been NYC."

  • Dec 30, 2024

"He says Jane Doe claimed in her complaint she was driven from Radio City Music Hall to a "large, white residence with a gated U-shaped driveway" about 20 minutes away ... but Jay-Z's lawyer says any residence with that description -- if it existed at the time -- would be outside the territorial boundaries of NYC.

Jay's lawyer doesn't stop there ... arguing any of Jane Doe's possible claims have expired --way back in August 2021."

  • Dec 30, 2024

"From the looks of it, the rapper's legal team is fighting hard to get the case tossed out.

Jane Doe's attorney, Tony Buzbee, tells TMZ ... "These are technical arguments being made and the law is clearly on our side and the side of alleged victims. The law is well settled that we are correct."
