Ok when I say arrived, I understand that it never really left but to be honest, with the emergence of guys like berlioz who have made it big on social media with his special brand of jazz electronic fusion, it made me start to wonder. I mean I like some of these guys but something about their sound feels derivative of something else. perhaps like a cheap imitation.
So now i'm wondering where did these guys get their sound from? Who started jazz house? and where is it headed now? gonna post some examples below:

"Who started jazz house?" If I had to take a wild guess OP, probably gay Black people.

You got any other recommendations for albums during that time period? Been meaning to lock in and do a deeper dive of the subgenre ever since I came across berlioz’ EP in 2023. Bellaire is another dope artist I like but I know that’s more like late 2010’s, not necessarily the 00’s
Ironically, Berlioz has a song that helps a bit:

I think it’s a logical continuation of the lineage of black music, glad to see the main guy blowing up in the scene is paying respects.

Recently found Dublon, finding their sound a bit more versatile than Berlioz but just as smooth

Yea imma add some recs when I get a chance but I recently discovered this group called Atjazz and I like their stuff.

This whole album is sort of a blend of jazz, funk and electronic. Really cool sound.
My coworker actually just put me on berlioz recently, so fire 🔥 definitely hitting up his show
