Any album recommendations? I’ve listened to a lot of Davis, Mingus, Coltrane, and Monk in the past so I’m familiar with their works but want to dive deeper into the genre

Honestly I've just been spinning a spotify playlist for the vibe I want and then adding my favorite songs from those into my own playlists and going from there.
Or like I just hear a song I love and look up the members in that group. Say someone was absolutely slaying the trumpet, okay lemme find out who that was and see what they make under their own name.
Right now I'm getting into bebop and bossa nova listening to lots of Parker, Gillespie, Getz, Thelonious, Gilberto, etc.

Ellington is amazing
most people would probably agree he peaked way before the LP era but its harder to recommend stuff from that since its all long compilations of singles and stuff, im slowly making my way through them.
the Money Jungle album with Charles Mingus and Max Roach is also really good but it sounds waaay different from his normal stuff

Kings.
(Charles “Bobo” Shaw, Joseph Bowie, Floyd LeFlore, Baikida Carroll, Oliver Lake.)
