You never know what you're gonna get when you press play on a Jean Dawson song.You would think versatility is a good thing but it's actually awful in most circumstances.

A youtube channel will be most successful if it sticks to tech reviews because that's what the audience will come to expect and latch on to. If that channel starts posting about music, and politics, and etc...people wont stick around because they don't know what they're gonna get.

as a listener I love versatility as long as quality is never lost, which is why I don’t have a problem w Jean Dawson’s output

it’s pretty even quality wise across the board

to me he’s more of an amalgamation of his influences and pulls from different places in terms of production more than the average artist would but it still all fits in his own world lyrically and thematically
