Maybe because these throwback, laidback, funky R&B/soul sounds have been on the rise for some time now, you know, .Paak, Masego type of s***. However, I often struggle to find something that actually sticks and I think she has a great voice, ear for melody and can be a SZA-level performer soon. I definitely can see your point though.
