the fact that he puts quotes around "new album" makes me wonder if JIK part II is just gonna be an update to JIK in the way that pablo got updated.
when the album first came out the number one thing people were complaining about was the mixing. so maybe ye was unhappy with it and decided "fuck it i'll get doctor f***in dre to mix the album". ye's also a perfectionist and i wonder if he would really want his discography to have an album split up into two parts in it.
imagine a Pablo-ed JIK with double the songs, updated mix from dre and most importantly THE FULL VERSION OF JESUS IS LORD

I can see JIK 2 being a weird expanded edition with a few new tracks and updated production but Kanye's never dropped something like that separately so idk.

JIK was definitely rushed to completion. Kanye was feeling pressure from both fans and the label for the second missed release date. I liked some of the dirtier cuts like 'Follow God' but the fact that Consequence and Cyhi were the ones approving final mixes is hilarious. Hopefully Kanye's next record will be a sturdier effort on that end.
tonight for real this time
