exactly lol. and im a big kanye fan myself but it’s ridiculous how a lot of his stans are making these kind of excuses to defend the album as if critics have always been biased against kanye or something lmao.
although i think the score is fine where it is rn, especially if improvements are made to the album later on.

I think Kanye’s earlier career was built on music that revolutionized popular music at the time. That said, there was no way an artist can keep doing that but I don’t think a lot of his fan base can come to terms with this. He might not be washed but his output just isn’t going to be at the same level as before.

I’m not-so-secretly hoping he cares that this album wasn’t well-received overall and is motivated to put in the work and release another album down the line that will be.

Music is subjective. You can't measure it. For trolling and baiting it's fun to trash or praise music at times, but you can't say some music is objectively trash tho.
I like JIK. In my opinion it's better than ye and TLOP. But you can dislike it. And he can dislike it too. No problem imoThe way he says it is like it's a fact tho. While it's not. And he clearly has something against Kanye anyway. I never saw a postive post from dude. So i can criticize his posting too. Who tf goes on a Kanye fan site to spew hate lmao. Just say you dislike it and go on w ur day. My problem not really w the hypocritical Ye stans and their assumed love for critic scores. I can only speak for myself and while its nice to see ur fav artist getting high scores it doesnt say much if you dislike the music.

It's nowhere near his best work. But his best work is classic material. It's hard to even come close. For most artists.
I honestly didnt see anyone mentioning it to be close to those albums. I thought it sounded like a darker 808s when i heard it at the pre-release listening parties tho.I think Kanye stans defend it more cause most critics trash the person when reviewing the music. Just listen to everyday struggle or the Budden podcast for example. Theres a certain bias cause Ye sucked Trumps d*** it seems
