What song are you referring to?? And maybe he just liked the song and changed the words that he had to so it can fit in with the rest stop hating
“Girl you owe it to yourself” to “we have everything we need” complete opposites
Disagree so much. The only interesting song is Selah because it has a slightly dark and theatrical production. The rest of the songs sound like they were made by a Baptist preacher with zero effort and creativity. There’s nothing memorable about this album. Nothing stands out. The most shocking thing about JIK is that it’s made by the same artist who created classic masterpieces like MBDTF and Yeezus.
and when you realize just how much he ruined Selah... yuck
The same level of artistic talent is present in jesus is king as those 2 masterpieces
Right.
WTF is he talking about
and when you realize just how much he ruined Selah... yuck
OG Selah and JIK are both dope
The only reason you like OG more is because the lyrics are more relatable and don't have the Gospel theme
Jesus is King is the fullest and most sincere glimpse into the development and coming of age of Kanye West.
This is the album of the decade. Many years from now, in universities in 200 different languages, musical scholars will pour over every word and every note of this masterpiece. It is the apex of music as an art form. It is the culmination of the last 20 years of pop culture, and the most compelling character development arc of the decade.
A story of struggle against the culture that birthed him. A epoch of redemption. A backlash against the regressive liberalism that has destroyed ever inch of his community. A damnation of popular culture and its values that have poisoned America as a county. A story of love and family and duty and sacrifice.
This will be looked at as a turning point in American history. This album represents the forefront of the new emerging religious revival that will purge our nation and society of the evil of moral relativism, the sickness of progressivism and its repressive views of what minorities SHOULD believe. This is a rejection of our culture of hedonism, the culture of social stigma, the culture of idolatry of money, fame and status.
Kanye is the closest to the second coming of Christ himself this great nation will ever see. This album will lead a restoration of our nihilistic and sick society. We are all about to be reborn in the fullest image of Christ and our culture will reject the emptiness and despair that pervades its foundation.

damn so you listened to college dropout and LR when they dropped and dont think either of them are top 5?
Sadly Op may have gone more in depth explaining JIK than Ye did making JIK...Not a bad album by any means but idk about this rn
JIK TOP 9
Why don’t people like this album?
It’s a good album.
but music is subjective.
ive been listening to kanye since 808s dropped when i was like 11, and Jesus is King is so far from what he’s capable of that it actually makes me sad to listen to
