Interesting, "dealing with life", coping mechanism. Is religion just a coping mechanism? Are belief systems just coping mechanisms or are they rooted in a search for truth? Personally, my belief (in YHWH) came from a relentless pursuit of truth combined with what makes more logical sense (obviously makes more sense that an eternal being created everything than thinking that everything literally came from nothing, lol).

Just that op rubbed me the wrong way majorly, but i respect your choice & dont have any animosity nor think i have all the answers. I dont even "hate" the religion like some, although im a mixed black n white American (thats me in my avi) and does not like the forced history & nature of it here (USA).
To @commonwrongdoer n anyone else of faith that sees my messages itt I dont mean any ill will nor disrespect.
Ultimately i think a religion should be up to the individual & they have the right.

I mean it goes really deep. Your truth could be different to mine. IMO we all inhabit different realities. In other words your mind creates your reality and you can program it

No, I haven’t, I have a few memorized though. But that is a great way to pray without ceasing. In the earliest days of the Church one could not be ordained to the diaconate without knowing the entire psalter.
