Yea when he got that initial push with never story and followed it up with dic 2, it looked like he was setting up to take that leap but this wait til now has stagnated things. He's getting up there in age too but I still really hope he's able to make that leap to the masses

like you look at that monthly listener number on spotify and its pretty huge, but his songs/projects dont perform how they could.. like he right there on the verge of truly breaking out into a star just missing 1-2 things to go his way

got the bars/flows - got the intelligence, co signs and even his look is cool. idk what he needs to do next but songs like this show me he got the promise and can make dope s*** but needs to make that HUGE move to truly break through

Fr it's hard to really sum up what it takes to breakthrough because there are so many dope artists on that cusp. With the Cole's, Kendrick's etc you see they built up a core following that helped spread the word and increase exposure. Let's see where JID is able to take it with this run
