Haven't listened to JID much since DiCaprio 2 and really liked this album. Very strong first 5 tracks. Feel like I missed out on his previous album, I need to check it out this weekend.

TFS is a great great album imo. The album where he really comes into his own artistically

The Forever Story is for real a 10/10 album.

My hot take Is that while I think the first few tracks are good (WRK is OK), I think the album really picks up with Community.

JID working on this album for last 5 years shows. Hopefully he has more elaborate albums planned to solidify his discography and gets taken more seriously in conversations going forward in his career.

Really like this album but I also feel like JID doesn't rly shine on it like he's supposed to, a lot of my enjoyment either came from the production or some crazy feature verse like vince n clipse and that ty dolla hook

Also I don't listen to earthgang but one of them sounded exactly like Wale on Sk8 it kinda caught me off guard when the featured were revealed and it wasn't Wale

Literally ANY song on the album but that one was a better choice fire whoever made that call

Man him rapping on this album is a tough listen for me. It’s like each verse is a long run on sentence. There’s no excitement on his verses. They are written and produced well, but something is missing. Rather the flow or the engineering. Something is off. It’s only when he raps. The features sound great.

With all that, it’s a solid effort. Just a tough listen for me personally

Also I didn't like the production on this one bit. I kinda feel the same way about all of his work. I don't known what it is, but the production choices are always the complete opposite of what I like
