I was under the impression that we were given the presumption of innocence until guilt was proven. Not the opposite, but I've seen in real life that's not how things work. You can be completely innocent and yet because someone said something some how the burden of proof has shifted to you. Instead of them proving you're guilty it becomes your job to prove your innocence.
