So like Rebirth, JIK also gonna be know as a culture defining album sometime in the future? :pog:
nah
Rebirth was hated bc it was too experimental
JIK is hated bc it’s too bland
bland has no room to become a future classic (except for J. Cole’s discog)
Rebirth was actually influential & birthed Future
JIK was just garbage all around
no comparison

Nice assumption but I’m also one of the only people who wants the “city of lost angels” part back on Hurricane so...
You’re only proving his point with this response
Probably a bad example but we will always look back on it as his WORST album and his strangest era.
In documentaries they will discuss all of the controversy leading up to it and how it spawned the infamous “Jesus Is King”.
It’s the musical equivalent to “The Room” 😂😂😂
What the f***
If the consensus on Donda ends up being that it’s a ‘return to form’ (whatever that means), JIK will end up being way more appreciated for what it is
Nice retort, now I am 100% certain that you live for the opinions of people on this forum, and thats a joke that tells itself
Bro the fact that you keep bringing this up in conversation sounds like YOU are looking for validation in what you're saying.. sit down

It has a lot of similarities to 808s, and here’s why:
•Released around the same time, during the same era.
•Autotune vocals
•Both artists drastically veering away from what they were known for
In a way, Rebirth is almost the antithesis of 808s and Heartbreak.
