    Ok but Kanye invented shoes

  • Fact of the matter is depending on where you’re from and when you were born your opinion is gonna be different.

15yr old kids that think Kanye started fashion have no idea what Jim is even talking about

They don’t give Rocky enough credit too, he had niggas who never left their city tryna pop out in the hood with Rick Owens and HBA tees. Ain’t no off white without Pyrex and the Mob

That whole 2012-2013 Been Trill / HBA wave was deff cuz of the Mob. I remember seeing mad Rocky clones in NY highkey.

P was on BAPE before Wayne and a lot of niggas.

Kanye deff had niggas rockin those weird shades and the scarf circa 07, not to mention a whole bunch of other s***

Jim definitely had hood dudes in NY dressing differently

Then Wayne followed with similar style.

Just to clarify, Max B and Stack Bundles were doing that before Jimmy.

So technically they should get credit before Jimmy, since he just took their swag and made it more popular.

Who did start the skinny Jeans trend tho
I know the jerking movement popularized it in the West Coast. And I ain’t really see any rap fan wear them until Wayne started doing it around C3-Rebirth
I remember the skater/rock/emo kids wear dressing skinnies in 2007-2008

The cool kids the rap group with sir michael rocks were rocking skinny jeans with retro Jordan’s back in 2006

I think they deserve more credit for their fashion before it was the wave.

Jim Jones means in hip-hop as in the streets, not white america. But yeah, kanye more influential in fashion in general

  • Apr 29, 2021

Also tbh Jones talking about the streets. Ye fashion game didn’t influence the streets that much. It was more everyday people outside of hiphop.

  • Apr 29, 2021

    Ye footwear is influential
Other then that it was his merch game

Also them niggas wasn’t really wearing skinny jeans lol he def started the transition to more fitted denim but if you saw a nigga dressed like Jim/Hustlers P.O.M.E. Era you wouldn’t call those skinnies.

tbh, skinnies wasn't a thing in hip-hop or with the street back then. dipset is what influenced hood niggas to dress like that, not ye. with that being said, ye influenced the fashion world and sneaker game heavy years later.

    A Mad Ass Nigga

I’ll give Keef and Tity Boy credit for trues before Jim Jones
