There’s so much I want to say. I’ll start by saying you have a life that could fill a book, and I’m truly grateful to have been part of some of those chapters in your story. I could always count on you.
This morning, as I boarded my flight from Atlanta, I thought to myself, “Atlanta will never be the same for me again.” You were a true brother to me—when I was down, you were the only one who got down in the dirt with me when I needed it most. I’ll never forget that. They don’t make them like you anymore, champ: the definition of a gangster and a gentle giant.
When I got the call urging me to come see you, I dropped everything and got on a flight immediately. I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew I’d be there. You were asleep when I arrived, and they whispered in your ear, “Capo is here.” You opened your eyes, gave me that Chubbie Baby smile, and said, “My boy.” Even in pain, you still gave people that billion-dollar smile.
I’m truly happy I made it to see you and that I got to pray with you. I know God knows you’re a good man—as solid as they come. I saw you put everything on the line for your family; nothing could stop you from creating a better life for Mary and the kids, and you did it.
The love and support I saw at your house before you got your wings touched my heart. It felt good to see the same people you loved and helped were there for you when you needed them most. We’ve got the family covered.
I could go on for days, remembering all the incredible times and unforgettable nights we shared. We don’t even need to mention what you did for Dipset—you were truly the fifth member because that’s how you carried it. I watched you protect Cam and help him find his way back to the game when he went to Ohio. I saw you and Juelz become brothers, and you and Zeke going crazy in Ohio—those were the days.
I watched you go to Atlanta, change your life, and change the lives of so many others. You gave countless artists a chance and helped so many people become successful. Everywhere you went, you represented that eagle 🦅 with pride.
I didn’t just lose a brother; a wife lost a husband, children lost a father, a mother lost a son, and the gang lost a member. But God gained one of the greatest angels heaven could ever have.
