So what I do is mostly modeling the assets they would use. So I'd be more equipped to make Steppenwolf then pass him and the parademons to animators who make them move and come to life.
The hologram thing is a bit different because you can use VFX at the end.
In school we all had to learn composting which in short is bringing all the layers together and make them blend together and make them look real
