Them plays used to count for nothing when it was a DJ playing it, now every time a DJ plays it it counts for a stream
Everybody heard that song but how many people bought the single? Probably about a few thousand people from New Jersey and New York
Lmao. Pump it up was literally everywhere and in so many movies. It actually charted (HipHop and regular charts) okay too. I really think they just did certification recently.

ive listened to all that. joe, a team, triangle offense, stack bundles, ransom, tsu surf, etc not all of it was really my vibe even at the time but i respect it

that hit me a few years ago. before if you bought a single or album that was it they got the one sale. now if someone listens to a song and that becomes the soundtrack to some portion of their life and a bunch of people have that same experience that’s a lot of sales. before you would buy music because you liked it now drake songs get certs just out of enough people being curious how the new drake sounds like

yeah that’s true
Joe always had label issues and they didn’t prioritize him even after Pump It Up once his pop leaning attempts to go big didn’t really hit.
He literally spent 5 years fighting to get an album release date on Def Jam after the success of songs like Pump It Up and even Focus which did decent.
he had to leave the label just to drop his next album.
They probably just never wanted to spend the effort on Joe’s plaques

This just proves how unserious RIAA plaques are.
There's absolutely no way this song isn't AT LEAST 8 times platinum by 2023.

You're so loud and ignorant, it's funny.
