This is such a weird ass argument like do you need to be an expert to enjoy music??? If Joe says he likes it why should I believe he’s lying? Should I believe all the people who don’t like it are lying if they’re not “house music experts”?

My comment on Joe d*** riding for an interview isn’t a shot at Drake relax. Joe does this a lot. Ride extra hard for a new album in hopes of snagging an interview. Did it with Ye, Cole, Pusha, Future, etc.

My personal opinion on the album is it’s good. Accomplished what it was set out to do, which I assume is give people the feeling of wanting to dance, which it does for me. I still would like to hear from someone who actually consumes and lives with House Music on a deeper level.

Whether Joe chooses to s*** on it or praise it doesn’t really matter to me, I guess my takeaway is every time I see someone with a platform praise the album, the response is always “dickeating” or “OVO ties” or “pushing for an interview” and it’s genuinely confusing to me because whether or not that is true unless they explicitly come out and say that I have to take his/their word at face value. It isn’t fair to lump you specifically into a general category but your post was in line with what I described.

I see your point about the house music as well, but I guess even if it’s an entry level house album, what’s wrong with that? If it helps put people on to the genre and makes them want to do a deeper dive, then I don’t see how that can be a negative but that’s just me

Well for 1, Joe is a pathological liar. So I would be very skeptical of taking anything he says at face value

Secondly I think you’ve probably been engaging in too many discussions and debates about this Drake album because you’re being unnecessarily defensive imo. I don’t see how saying I wanna hear from a House music aficionado is me trying to slight an album I already have said it’s good. It definitely ain’t my favorite Drake album, I still like CLB over it, but it’s a decent album.
