Honestly, I listen to the JBP bc Budden is funny and actually has a good sense of humor to me. The Kehlani lyric breakdown for example was very funny.

I think on this episode he could have gotten extremely more petty and disrespectful towards Jay Elect but he was pretty mild aside from a few moments for theatrics. I commend him for that.

With Jay Elect, the album is obviously for a very targeted audience now that I’ve sat with it. You either buy into the mystique and the spirituality and respect how he expresses it or you scoff at it. It actually does sound like an audiobook story but hahaha I think that’s dope personally. Best example being Neverending Story. I think that’s what he was going for. Album sounds like dust to some or an artifact to others.
