it depends really. if its the drake / chris brown approach where its a 20+ collection of random songs then yeah im not listening to thatt
but there are plenty of albums that are long and are really good
I never said he was, nor am I looking at Nav to go 18/18 on album
And it’s not like his albums have a concept or anything that gives reason for you to listen to 18 songs in one sitting, take a break, come back, they’ll be there when your mental is better
Lol I hear ya, but if I cut an album off halfway through, it’s hard for me to go back to it. Normally in those situations, the album was a bore and it would be hard to convince myself there’s anything desirable on it. I got so much music on my playlist, I’d rather listen to that than go back to something I’m not feeling. I’m checking out the whole thing though
And don’t worry. If Drake released an album with 30+ songs, I’d listen to the whole thing in one sitting..in a dark room
but he said even if it was michael jackson and it was 25 tracks he’s not listening
Lol oh ok. I didn’t actually hear/read his exact statements
Depends on the artist, would I be excited for a 20+ songs project from Drake or Post Malone ? Most likely not.
Speaking of Troy Ave can't believe it's been 6 years since this
I love Sway’s hand coming in like the hand of god sonning this man.
i think runtime is more important than song length but that's generally a good cutoff
i think rap projects should be no longer then 60 mins, however in other genres i don't mind as much if they over 60 min run time.
