survivors guilt man........... spiritual successor to longlivesteelo
yeah off first listen this s***s great. production on here is top notch and this is filled with some feel good music front to back (especially make me feel, eulogy, zipcodes, one of us).
only complaint is i wish nas actually had a ft on here instead of being used as an interlude but w/e. solid album
3.5/10 album. Some nice summer songs but that’s about it.
The diddy s*** is stupid. He’s tryna be a legacy act and a rising star at the same time. He still hasn’t accepted the face that he’ll never blow up and it sucks because in this 5 year period he really couldve sharpened his pen too but now I’m just left thinking that he’s not even that great of a rapper to begin with. He hardly had any mic presence on this, let alone standout bars or flows
How many times did you listen to the album? Just curious, not judging your opinion in any way.

Twice. I was really looking forward to this after Zipcodes and Survivor’s Guilt. Zipcodes specifically made me feel the way I felt about joey back in 2013
Joey could drop a fleshed out concept album within two years as a follow up and people would be respecting him again

Damn I didn't think the album was that great but a 3.5/10 is crazy harsh

Interesting. I'm on my second listen now. Hard to say where I would put but I will say I like majority of songs based on first listen. Could do without Diddy on anything for any artist. Need to do the car test and my house test next to gage how I fully feel about it.
Welcome Back is the only bad song on this but jesus christ its BAD. Should've been left on the cutting room floor 100%

I like the album but I agree about his pen game. I was excited about his potential as a lyricist since he made 1999 at a young age and now 10 years later his bars nowadays don’t really hit me like his older stuff
Production is great on this one

The f*** was he thinking? Im just listening and every track so far is fire and then that comes up

Defnintely should've left "Welcome Back" off. No issue with him making a song like this but this not it. It doesn't fit the project either.
Survivors Guilt uses the same drum pattern as the Complex Sneakers Podcast intro

100% facts
Nice album nothing special though
Problem with Joey is I think he could of made this album at 18, I don’t see any progression lyrically or in his songwriting
Anything like on & on?
I almost thought Survivors Guilt was TOO similar to On & On first listen

its not that bad, but def overproduced and awkward. sounds like a studio track that made sense when they played it on crazy equipment, but everywhere else its just very clunky
