Listen I'm all for that "growing and learning" s***, but in most instances, a lot of the people who been "cancelled" had it happen cause they did/said some s*** when they were grown ass adults. Not some stupid and edgy ass teenager. We talking mid to late 20s and sometimes older than that.

If you gotta learn that saying some racist, misogynistic, transphobic, homophobic ass s*** is wrong at that big age, that's a massive problem. And the cynic in me thinks the only thing they learned is to not vocalize those hateful/toxic ideals on social media, but just keep it private.

In the sense people bringing up s*** from years, even decades ago to judge someone's recent character I agree with him. That holier than thou mentality is corny. But holding people accountable for recent actions isn't problematic. Forgivness does seem to be a forgotten concept. But ultimately you can forgive mistake, not a habit. If someone shows genuine growth let them grow, if they continue to be ignorant its on them when people are done. But nobody is entitled to a 2nd chance. Thats a privelege.
