    Joey not even the best in NY, not even a contender. Roc Marci, Rome Streetz, and MIKE been rapping circles around him for the last 6 years. and until I see him consistently rap on the same level as them I firmly believe he don’t need to try to carry NY on his back when it’s like 10 rappers in the state that have been out rapping him consistently since the start of the 2020s.

    The fact you put neo-boom bap rappers as contenders for “King Of NY” already shows how cooked NY rap is

    No offense towards that style of rap but if NY can’t collectively evolve past boom bap and drill then they’ll probably won’t ever make a come back

    I think they just need to find a way to make it fresh again for the mainstream
