That's never how it works.

As soon as audiences say they're cool with an extension to the franchise, then the floodgates are open for anything and everything. Lionsgate was never going to be dainty about this, Ballerina was only ever going to be the beginning of Wick oversaturation - it was either end at Wick 4 and keep some semblance of dignity, or go hog wild with franchise extensions; Hollywood doesn't do half measures.
