Only time it started to lose me was the beginning of the court room part of the film where it was kinda standard. Wasn’t as engaging until Joker came out in the court.

I think for me, the music numbers were good, but they felt random instead of being things that advanced the story.

Who decides the 'progression of art' here? Musicals have existed for many years and will continue to exist, I've seen many, and loved many, but for me this was a lazy half-committed musical where the songs added nothing, plenty of the haters of this movie are just anti-musical, but musical fans I've seen just aren't vibing with it either, it tries to do a few things at once but doesn't commit to any of them hard enough to be particularly interesting

He carves a smile into his face but I don't think he's meant to be the same guy at all, somebody thought he was then that became the gossip around the ending for a while, it just doesn't make sense from any angle for it to be him

There are thousands of people calling this the worst movie they’ve ever seen and saying Todd Phillips should never make another movie , not sure how you are painting them as reasonable . I thought it would go further and myself wish it did but I didn’t watch those 2 hours get that ending and than come out and cry because he’s not fighting another dc character
