I feel like I overrated the first film when I first saw it thinking it was some masterpiece, but I was caught up in the performance. At the end of the day it’s good, but not some revolutionary piece of cinema that some have framed it to be.
But anyway back to this one, if the musical stuff is incorporated in well, this could be dope. I think Gaga could kill the role but that might depend on the script

Pretty much my exact thoughts, I overhyped tf outta Joker 1 from first watch. But 2nd watch I realized it wasn’t as great as I thought. Still really like it, but definitely not as much. And I’ll never be a fan of the whole “it was all an imagination” twist, they could’ve executed it better.
