Vanity Fair reports the show is being developed under the code name “Grammar Rodeo,” which is “a reference to an episode of ‘The Simpsons’ in which Bart and his schoolmates steal a car and run away for a week, using a phony educational event as an alibi.”
Vanity Fair’s report continues: “The show takes place during the post–’Return of the Jedi’ reconstruction that follows the fall of the Empire, the same as ‘The Mandalorian,’ but its plot remains a secret. It’s created and executive-produced by director Jon Watts and writer Chris Ford, who made ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ for Marvel. A casting notice has called for four children, around 11 to 12 years old. Inside Lucasfilm, the show is being described as a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.”
Not sure how to feel about this. The more I want Disney to get away from Skywalker era, the more they keep doubling down
All these D+ BOBF tier shows but no news on Rian Johnson’s trilogy huh
They did actually give an update on it
Still kinda feel like it never happen but it’s not dead yet
I always always thought Jude Law should have played Anakin. It's not like a better actor would have saved the poor writing of those movies but he would have been perfect.
People will be like "yea but he's too old" because he's 8 years older than Hayden and 9 years older than Portman - which is true - but i dont care. I would have tweaked the script as needed.
Unless it’s a Vader series , get away from that era please
Vader series post-Jedi?
Bruh is dead lmaooooo

How do you know they will be BOBF tier?

I didn’t trust them to put more effort into other shows if they didn’t do it for such an important character to the fanbase.
Andor is the exception rn.

what other important characters did they portray in tv besides BOBF so far? Ahsoka's cameos have been great so far and Andor looks interesting.

Rewatched Mando & the Ahsoka + Boba episodes surprisingly were my least favorites.
To me these episodes worked great on the first watch because of the hype, but I prefer the way these characters were handled in CW way more than any of their live-action portrayals. Feels a bit too easy for me.
Also a reason why I can’t bother to get really excited for Obi-Wan…. Need a new take on Star Wars that doesn’t rely on Skywalkers/Empire-era.
