I had an ex who would go out on the weekends, sometimes I wouldn’t feel like going out, and she’d be out til like literally 7am smh with no type of communication with me.
Another time she left the crib around 3am and blocked my number, next day lied and played dumb.
Yet I got labeled “insecure” for noticing the red flags

I didn't know it was a few months into the relationship.
With that being said, I don't understand the villainization of Jonah Hill following this.
A man exposed his insecurity in a relationship, and gave an ultimatum. His partner wanted more agency in her life than the boundaries he set, so she left.
Why the uproar? What's particularly notable about this?
Mostly it's the misuse of the word boundaries in this case. Doing this at the beginning of the relationship is fine. Doing this in the middle of the relationship when he knew what he signed up for prior to the relationship isn't about boundaries, it's setting rules because he probably started to feel a way about things. To which, she didn't have to follow and they were free to break up.
There isn't much wrong with what Jonah said other than coming off as very insecure and controlling at points in the text. What it comes down to is if he knew how she was before pursuing her and knew that wasn't what he jived with, why pursue her in the first place?
Just seems like wasting both of their time to me
