Saying your lifestyles don't match and that it would be better to end things if no one is willing to change isn't forcing s*** it's being realistic.
Only way Jonah would be forcing her is if he chose to stay in the relationship after she told him no to what he wanted and continued to try and get her to do what he wanted.
It's not his fault she couldn't realize that his demands were too much for her. Being in love doesn't absolve you from owning up to your own actions.
