I think it's actually quite the opposite honestly. Music artists get away with a lot of s*** and continue to have careers in situations where actors would be cooked. It's so easy to get blackballed in Hollywood because you're literally dependent on getting cast by directors so if studios decide that you're a liability, it's over. While in music, if the people don't care and they'll still buy your music, labels will continue to invest in you

What actor is seen as a liability to the point no directors will work with them? Even Kevin Spacey was hired as lead for a new role this year in an indie thriller
Plus in movies/series, even when canceled, your movies aren’t shunned it’ll still be shown on TV like the Cosby Show
Music they’ll stop playing your music on radio, remove you from playlists, won’t book you for live performances
