The text looked bad out of context but knowing that she didn’t get injured till way later when Majors wasn’t around, knowing that Majors had broke up with her after the initial incident and that she partied crazy and that she threatened to kill herself when she got back to the penthouse while he was at the hotel makes everything look different for sure
Idk if people actually looked at the docs that article linked but the strangulation part (which was the scariest allegation initially imo) actually did get removed from the case like both the lawyer and victim said. It just didn’t drop it entirely like his team hoped
The cops claimed he choked her but the DA’s edited comments they made on the day of his court appearance 6 weeks later removed it. It’s likely medical records don’t have any sign of that either
Yea I was reading the article I swore I saw something about they couldn’t find anything in relation to that

Maybe it’s a societal thing that a text message will be assumed to be 1 way UNLESS more evidence is attached.
I just don’t get how ppl can’t read those text and have a neutral reaction.
The text proved that it’s easy for Niggas to misinterpret things. So no they didn’t look crazy.
Could those text indicate her trying to cover for an abuser? Nigga obviously. But for ppl to assume that’s what it was, or that’s what it was leaning towards is wack.
"Could those text indicate her trying to cover for an abuser? Nigga obviously."
AND THERE IT IS. That's literally the reason why people were lookin at the situation crazy. The texts on their own were not gonna help Majors look innocent. That's just the reality of things. Whether you like it or not, we live in a world where victims of domestic abuse often cover for the person who abuse them. It's sad as hell. And that's a major reason why people chose to either lambast Majors and cut ties with him, or just wait until actual evidence comes out.

But my point is why can’t niggas see it from a neutral standpoint until context is presented? Why does it have to be “crazy” until evidence gets attached?
A chick saying “it was my fault” shouldn’t just automatically mean “she’s covering for him”….because even tho it wasn’t you, it leads others to now run with the “see he’s guilty, see he looks like the type!”
All I’m saying is when I see something that can be taken in two different ways depending on context, I don’t automatically see it as “crazy”…I’m neutral to it and wait for context.
This is why we need to stop messing with white women:
https://twitter.com/callmecapybara/status/1672784998162747395Was coming here to post this too. this the first s*** i seen in a min concerning Majors case with high interaction. That article/story from Insider was not widely read before she made this
Looks like a lot of us misread this one, including myself. The strangulation s*** at the beginning (turned out to be false info or atleast dropped from the case) plus the Twitter accounts saying “we knew about his abuse for years” really swayed public opinion. Them Twitter accounts went dark too btw. I’m still waiting on the trial but it seems majors didn’t do anything wrong.

I am sorry but the " she befriends 3 people who witnessed the fight and went to the club"
is one of the most baffling s***s

Strangulation was initially reported by the police. It was dropped as evidence supporting the ex-girlfriend's story was introduced. Apparently she sustained some other injuries but I don't believe that was Majors' doing. At least this is what she is saying.
From how this whole thing has gone now that more evidence is coming forth, it seems like she was frustrated with Majors texting some other woman and she didn't like it. Led to an argument in some cab. They later got home and Majors went out somewhere. I'm guessing his girl got drunk and s*** while he wasn't at the crib, her drunk ass hurt herself, neighbors probably assumed it was some kinda situation between her and Majors, she was brought to the hospital and police took Majors in.
At least this is what I'm piecing together.
So she got mad he broke up with her so she decided to ruin his career with false allegations of abuse?
Devil behaviour

She found out her meal ticket was replacing her with Meagan Good and started spiraling.
Held my ground and didn’t give into white woman is always right bias and got killed for it. This thread was a trip but glad most are on the same page now.
bro my thing is, how the tf did all of these potential endeavors cut ties seemingly instantaneously…did they not even hear his own recount of what happened or know what potential evidence he could provide?

Chaudhry said that Majors met with the NYPD last week "to present them with evidence of what really happened on that night."
"Within hours of viewing the evidence, and conducting their own thorough investigation, the NYPD found probable cause to arrest Grace Jabbari for assaulting Jonathan Majors," Chaudhry added.
"Considering this development, we extend our gratitude to the NYPD detectives for their efforts," Chaudhry said.
