Dec 19, 2023·1 replyBabaláwoI think comparing him to any of his white counterparts ain’t gonna help. As much as some people might wanna act like it plays no role, race is a crucial factor here. It’s unlikely he’ll receive the same level of grace as a RDJ, Josh Brolin, Johnny Depp, etc.
Personally this case made me think of Nate Parker. He was on the rise, financed his own movie n all that and then his old case got back up during the press run. Now Nate’s case is way more egregious than what Major’s has been accused & found guilty of. Like not even comparable. But iirc Nate Parker was found innocent in his case, but still f***ed up his career.
Not so much he was found innocent as much as it was the rape victim couldnt testify (on the note that she killed herself afterwards)

Yea gruesome case. I can’t remember all the details but they definitely went to trial though, I remember he had a codefendant, either one or both of them were harassing her after the alleged rape happened.

I agree. Being a Black Man especially with a case like this, is very hard to come back from. It's a very heavy burden.
Johnny Depp was just as gulity as Heard but alot of people were acting like he was a saint. If he was black I think the response would have been a lot of different.
