I still need to rewatch NOPE, been meaning to for a while
I love how it simultaneously can be viewed as just a fun big spectacle film, but also his most layered and dense film yet

and it also just has f***ing fun moments and story beats
when they're all planning the final mission with the tiny toy pieces and setting up all the cameras and gear etc
feels straight out of a 80s spielberg final act
hmmm, just dropping this here
I’m definitely curious if either of those films next year will have anything to do with his recent linkups with Kojima. Not getting my hopes up though

Even if u dont like his films, you gotta admit how good it is for the art of cinema that his films are such a big deal. There aren't many directors who make new and interesting films, not based on already existing ip's and get that kind of treatment from mainstream audiences.
Another horror? I hope it’s more thriller than actual horror like Get Out
The horror one sounds like it’s a film he’s only producing

Oh s*** you’re right
It’s purely selfish on my part cause horror the one genre I can’t get into lol
I liked Get Out & Nope, never seen Us

US is my least favorite out the 3 but I still like it. I mean it’s horror but still didn’t feel like horror horror to me, there’s kind of a lightness to it

I'm gonna sound like an idiot but does Hideo Kojima speak English

I rewatched it recently and yeah, still holds up. Still a good time. I still don't like the alien form in the third act tho

This is why I dig his films, even though I don't always dig them

He does, but his English just isn’t that good. So when he makes public appearances he usually just has a translator with him
Napped through first page
in, NOPE was one of the best movies of last year easily
