True. Though I think people on Twitter use follower counts and page longevity as a measuring stick to signify a person's account credibility more than a reddit, since reddit is less popular an "anonymous" one, or one just made for an occasion, isnt too out of the ordinary.
You dont get too many people going "i just made a Twitter to say" such and such.
