Aren’t you people capitalists and free speech advocates? I thought private businesses being allowed to do work with who they please is a right?

Who are “you people”? Banks are not just any random private business. They are heavily intertwined in government and are a mandatory public necessity at least in our society.

Yeah well they’re privately owned, and can legally do what they’re doing as enshrined by the infallible Supreme Court. So that’s a bit too bad.

The FDIC ruled that they cannot in many similar previous situations, so….

Credit cards are revolving credit accounts. They are literally accounts, but Flynn would obviously not own a LLC account.

And yes, they "apologized" after they were faced with a s***storm of MAGA folks.

You can literally read up on their website about reputational risk. They've been doing this for years to felons, s***workers, white supremacists, etc. Look up Operation Choke Point.

    Took a look at it:

"Forceful prosecution of those who defraud American consumers is both responsible and admirable. However, Department of Justice initiatives to combat mass-market consumer fraud must be legitimate exercises of the Department's legal authorities, and must be executed in a manner that does not unfairly harm legitimate merchants and individuals. Operation Choke Point fails both these requirements. The Department's radical reinterpretation of what constitutes an actionable violation under § 951 of FIRREA fundamentally distorts Congress' intent in enacting the law, and inappropriately demands that bankers act as the moral arbiters and policemen of the commercial world."

    Seems like it applies here.

Ye didn’t get banned from the bank because of some Jewish conspiracy. He got banned from the bank because of his recent ideology and statements. Banks aren’t intended to be decision makers on ideology and personal beliefs when servicing clients. It’s just wrong and has always been decided to be wrong by society in the past.

"Ye didn’t get banned from the bank because of some Jewish conspiracy."

Okay, we're at least at the bare minimum.

"He got banned from the bank because of his recent ideology and statements."

We have literally no idea but for the sake of argument, let's assume this.

"Banks aren’t intended to be decision makers on ideology and personal beliefs when servicing clients."

Banks aren't intended to be a lot of things, obviously. But, regarding this-- since when? I never read this piece of legislation or body of work or terms and conditions from a banking institution in the US. This, in fact, goes for all private and public companies. Where does this intention lie in reality?

"It’s just wrong and has always been decided to be wrong by society in the past."

    Okay, so what's the solution?

The solution is for the banks to follow FDIC rulings and regulations or actually get fined/de-insured.
