Pretty sure it’s mostly going to Grade A since they signed him but a percentage of it definitely goes to his estate

Why is everybody selling their catalog?

Why? They put money and work into Juice so makes sense to get money back from it; they literally have people working on putting these albums together and the people working on it need to be paid. Of course Juices estate should get the appropriate percentage of it too

Why is everybody selling their catalog?

Probably so they have capital to invest into other things they can make money off of now, also maybe because streaming numbers have been going down?

    Im just speculating though

this is not meant to be disrespectful to him at all but nine figures seems like a lot for an artist whose career only really started about five years ago and who is also dead, especially if they're only gonna put out one last album despite the fact that he's got a s***load of unreleased

i mean the rap-up article says bieber was $200m and I read Timberlake was "over $100m" and I wouldn't think Juice's was quite as valuable as theirs (again, if their plan isn't to put out like four more posthumous albums, which would definitely be possible given his unreleased). but i dont know the financial side of the industry so maybe this is normal?

  • NINE?!

his music sales surged after his death a s*** ton

The fact that everyone is selling their catalogues makes me uneasy.
What do they know that we don’t?
Juice’s music is still super new and will make millions over time. Do they just want the immediate lump sum so they can afford a different venture right now? Or are they afraid of something you need to be at a certain perspective to see
