Eh he had plenty of finished tracks and a whole finished (or close to) album that was ready to drop before he died, he has so much music it almost makes sense, with someone like X they were literally just slapping random features and demos on track lists for s*** that was even close to finished, that felt way more exploitative

doesnt matter how many finished songs he had they still milking him like crazy. Over the last 12 months JUICE has released more songs than a lot of artists who are alive lol. Only Juice WRLD knows what songs he wouldve wanted to release. I just hope the family is getting a good chunk of this money and not the label

I'm p against posthumous releases in general because of the reasons you stated, its a tough situation for those who own th music, respecting the dead and not doing anything or releasing music which appeases fans occasionally and lines the pockets. Its more a moral question than a business one that never gets viewed in that angle since money is involved. If music is going to drop regardless I'd prefer it'd be finished songs or albums rather than demos and whatnot. It's exploitative for sure but there are benefits for the fans, as long as the estate eats its somewhat forgivable. Just a tough situation al around to sit on so many songs that will never see the light of day that could easily.

Depends on whatever material they had created already before they died. If they didn't have much it's gonna take a minute for them to put something out.

However with the advancement in AI and voice replication technology, I'm sure something like that will soon be a thing of the past.
